About Us
The Carolinas Chili Championship is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization built on community, charity, and chili.

Who We Are

We are a team of local volunteers with a passion for bringing people together through food, fun, and fellowship. Our event started small but has grown into one of the Southeast’s most flavorful festivals—drawing cooks, vendors, and families from all around.

Why It Matters

As a recognized 501(c)(3), our event isn’t just a great time—it serves a greater purpose. Proceeds from the Chili Championship go directly toward supporting local nonprofits, scholarships, and community outreach efforts. When you participate, sponsor, or donate, you’re helping us give back.

What 501(c)(3) Means

A 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization approved by the IRS to operate for charitable purposes. For us, this means:

  • Donations are tax-deductible for individuals and businesses.

  • All proceeds stay local, funding causes that impact our neighbors.

  • No one profits—every dollar supports the event and its mission.
